Hot Damn! We are getting prequalified to purchase a home. Initial number crunching and our loan person said with our credit, we could afford a castle. Hey, wait a minute…isn’t this how the world got into this mess in the first place? Affording a castle…I don’t think so! We still have to eat, pay for gas, pay for heat and water, etc. No WAY we can afford as much as what the loan person first suggested. Instead we decided to plan on one income  and keep our payments reasonable. Now, to find a home that fits within our budget. Guess I’ll have to wait to become a princesses. I’ll live.
